Over the past two years, a number of explorations of virtual labs have been conducted. The FACT2 Task Group has been looking at options, and a number of IITG’s have looked at various solutions. Last March at the Next Generation Learning Space conference, a member of the Open SUNY team was introduced to a product called Labster – and asked if a webinar could be hosted to enable people interested across the campuses in their solution.
Labster is making a special presentation available in Google Hangouts in two weeks. Please see below for details:
Thank you for your interest in Labster, as promised here are some more information about the pilot and the webinar we intend to host on the 24th of May at 10 am EDT.
Labster is an advanced virtual lab simulator designed to support teaching of undergraduate science through blended learning (www.labster.com). This webinar will cover in more detail what Labster is, how it can be used, and the published research papers, as well as the future research questions. We will also cover the nature and goals of the pilot project aimed for Summer and Fall 2016 across SUNY, supported by SUNY System office and the grant funding Labster has received.
